2026/2027 Events and Visits
The new programme runs from May 2026. Meetings are usually held on the second Thursday of the month starting at 7.30pm in the Salem Church Hall, Main Street, Burley in Wharfedale, LS29 7BT. There is a winter break in January. Meetings are free for members. Visitors pay £2. Refreshments are available before the meeting. 14th May – Mushroom Growing with Yorkshire Mushroom Emporium Growing of a different kind with this month’s talk from Yorkshire Mushroom Emporium. The business was originally set up in Ilkley to grow gourmet mushrooms for the restaurant market. The owners will explain all about growing mushrooms at home also have their excellent mushroom grow kits for sale.
16th May - Plant Sale Our annual sale of fresh summer annual plants outside Burley Methodist Church from 9am until sold out. Cash and card payments accepted.
8th July and 26th August Garden visits.
